![]() I feel like the ending is more inevitable than in the first film and it is also more all over the place. This film I love also, but not quite as much. They are perfect for each other and it’s brilliant that he accepts her imperfections, loves her ‘just the way she is’ and even ignores her mean comments in her diary, going so far as to buy her a new one for a fresh start. ![]() I ship Bridget and Mark so much by the end and I absolutely love the ending. SPOILER ALERT – I absolutely love this film, for its comedic value, yes, but mostly for the romance. Thrown into the mix are Bridget’s band of slightly eccentric friends and a rather disagreeable acquaintance who Bridget cannot seem to stop running into or help finding quietly attractive.’ The fireworks begin when her charming though disreputable boss takes an interest in the quirky Miss Jones. As a New Year’s Resolution, Bridget decides to take control of her life, starting by keeping a diary in which she will always tell the complete truth. It’s very unlikely that you haven’t seen the film, but if you haven’t here’s a brief summary from IMDB: ‘Bridget Jones is an average woman struggling against her age, her weight, her job, her lack of a man, and her many imperfections. I recently bought Bridget Jones (2001), so I’ve recently watched it again. ![]() Bridget Jones and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason ![]()
